Transportation to the Conference Venue

The University of Auckland (UoA), a leading institution in New Zealand, is proud to host MaxEnt2025 in the Sir Owen G. Glenn Building (OGGB) at the UoA City Campus.

Located in Auckland’s commercial center, OGGB offers exceptional accessibility, including mobility-friendly features and over 1000 parking spaces. It boasts a variety of spaces equipped with modern AV options, ideal for presentations and exhibitions, complemented by exclusive catering services from university-approved providers. The building ensures a smooth event experience with comprehensive technical and logistical support, including a dedicated learning environment support unit and event services teams. With its central urban location, OGGB provides a vibrant and convenient setting for international conferences and also will be the venue of the catering for the morning and afternoon teas during the conference.

 

Transport from the Airport

Super Shuttle is a shuttle service from Auckland airport to your destination with the choice of shared ride or exclusive use. This service operates 24/7, including all public holidays. Bookings can be made via their website or by calling 0800 748 885 (Free) or +64 9 522 5100 and charges start at $30 NZD.

SkyDrive is a bus service that operates between Auckland airport and SkyCity in the city centre, for $20 one way. See their website for details.

There is an abundance of taxis that can be engaged at ranks at Auckland Airport. The taxi ride from the airport to the Auckland CBD can take between 30-60 minutes and may cost about $50 – $80 depending upon the time of day. There is also a designated collection/drop off zone for UberOla & Didi services, these options will work out slightly cheaper than a taxi.

The Conference does not provide any transfers from the airport to Conference Hotels. All delegates must make their own transport arrangements from the airport.

Public Transport

Getting around Auckland is easy and affordable, whether you’re using public transport, driving, catching taxis and transfers, joining a tour, or even cycling.
